OUR UNIQUE TEACHING MATERIALS
We have our own custom textbooks carefully designed by our head office in Shanghai. The most unique part is the character cards, which can make the learning process more interesting. The content of our textbooks is designed to be as close to the everyday life of Chinese people as possible, so that you can learn useful daily conversations and gradually speak like a local.
OUR TEACHING METHOD
From character to sentence
The most important part of Chinese language learning is to learn Chinese characters by recognising radicals. With our special mini size character cards you will learn to recognise characters first, and then learn the related sentence structures.
Learning new from the old
We always guide our students to look back over what we have learned and teach them to put new words into previously learned sentence structures. Its also beneficial for knowledge accumulation and can also help to make your conversation as complex as you can and as flexible as you can.
Consistent review
Reviewing is always one of the most important parts of our teaching. At the start of each lesson, we first help the students review the past lessons characters and sentences; we also do big reviews after every three lessons. We believe that learning is not only learning new things, but also practicing what was previously learnt.
After class support
You are welcome to contact your tutor anytime via WhatsApp or WeChat and we promise your questions will be answered ASAP. We also cooperate with English & Mandarin exchange organizations, therefore, you can come and practice your Mandarin with native speakers every weekend and make new Chinese friends here.
Extra HSK exam instruction
You can come and attend the free mock exams that we prepare for our students before your HSK test, and our experienced teachers are here to guide you on your way.

I was really good at presenting when I was a middle school student, and I have always enjoyed teaching people new things. I had been teaching mandarin for 4 years before I decided to study for my masters. After I finished my Masters in London, I went back to china to work for SN mandarin for 2 years. Many of my students told me that when I first met them the thought “Mandarin is the most difficult language in the world”. After our first 45 minute trial class, they had all totally changed their mind. When they saw how easy our grammar was, and how the fun stories behind our characters, they all wanted to give it a try. This is what I want for our school, we give clear explanations and instructions to all students, and open the door to learning mandarin and welcome them to our family.

I am Vera Liu and I am born in Beijing. I did my masters of education degree in Paris, and had part time job teaching mandarin at the same time. Afterwards, I had discovered that teaching mandarin was such an amazing and enjoyable experience that when I returned to Beijing, I joined SN mandarin to teach for 3 years.
